Adding and editing media is easy. Media is the WordPress section where you can upload image files, videos, audio, documents, etc. Media is located under Posts<\/a>. Let's take a detailed look at the Media section.<\/p>\n\n

To navigate to the Media section, log in to WordPress and select Media from the left-hand menu. This will immediately direct you to the Library page and open a sub-menu. On the Library page, you can add, edit, and delete the files you have uploaded. <\/p>\n\n

Looking at the Library page, we observe that the page title is positioned at the top left. Right next to it is the \u201cAdd New\u201d option. At the top right, there are the \u201cScreen Options\u201d and \u201cHelp\u201d options. Below the title, there is a box with display options, a dropdown menu, and the search bar all the way to the right.<\/p>\n\n

Below that, we see the area where the files you have uploaded to the Media Library will be displayed. We notice that it provides some data such as the file, author, attached to, comments, and date. <\/p>\n\n

Add New File<\/h1>\n\n

Selecting \u201cAdd New File\u201d directs us to the Upload New Media page. Here, we see a box with the option to upload files in the middle. The maximum file size is 3MB. <\/p>\n\n

Let's upload an image so we can edit it. As you can see, there are two ways to upload files: clicking the button will open a window for you to select your files, but if you have the folder open, you can also drag and drop them to avoid searching. <\/p>\n\n

We have uploaded the file and are ready to edit it. To edit the file, click on its title. We observe that it directs us to the editing page, which is quite familiar because it uses the exact same edit functionality found in posts and pages. <\/p>\n\n

Image Editing<\/h2>\n\n

To edit an image, click on the image itself, or if the media is in a list, click on the title, the edit link, or the image.<\/p>\n\n

Once you click on one of the three options, you will be directed to the editing page.<\/p>\n\n

From the editing page, you can change the title, the image size, add a caption, add alternative text, and add an image description.<\/p>\n\n
