To add and edit articles, we go to the articles section, log in to the management area, and click on the “Articles” section.
Once we click, it directs us to the all articles page and will open a submenu with options such as “New article”.
All Articles
On the “All articles” page, we can see all the articles we have created, whether they are published or not.
Looking at the page, in the top left next to the menu, there is the page title and the button to create a new article.
On the right, there is the “View options” selection. In this submenu, we can hide columns such as the author.
Just below, we can choose how many articles we want to appear on the first page.
There is also the option to show or hide an excerpt of the articles.
Below the “View Options” selection is the Article search that helps us search for articles.
New Article
To add a new article, we click either the button next to the articles title.
If we are on another page, we move the mouse over the word articles and select “New article” from the submenu.
On the “Add article” page, we can insert a new article.
In the first field that says “Enter title here”, we put the title of the article, and it automatically creates the article link.
Below, there is the “Add media” option. With this option, a window opens to select the object we want.
On the right side of the screen, below the view options, there is a small section where we can choose when the article will be published, etc.
Below the publication, there is a section called “Format” where we can choose the format of the article.
We can also choose the category of the article, tags, and a featured image.
Categories
To go to categories from the home page, we move the mouse to the articles option and click on categories in the submenu.
On the categories page, we can add, edit, and delete categories.
To add categories, we enter the name, slug, parent, and description in the left section of the screen.
On the right, we see the categories we have created.
Tags
Below the categories are the tags. Tags have the same system, the difference is that they don’t have a parent.
